All Along the Edge: Contemporary voices explore the Roman frontier

We are delighted to announce the call for submissions for Writing Along the Edge, an anthology of creative writing associated with the Antonine Wall!

We are looking for pieces of writing that engage with the past, present or future of the Antonine Wall in any of its locations across Scotland. These may be in any form or genre of fiction, creative non-fiction or poetry.

We’re interested in all aspects of the Wall, not just its Roman history. We’d love to read about your personal memories and experiences of it, its landscape as habitat for plants and animals, and the stories it sparks in your imagination.

Selected pieces will be published in a hard copy and online anthology later in 2022. The deadline for submissions is 22nd February 2022 and full details can be found here.

You can find out more about the history of the Wall and its sites in different local authority areas in these resources on www.antoninewall.org
